SEO Audit for Small Business Websites
An SEO audit shows what is blocking crawlability, rankings and leads on your current site. We review technical foundations, on-page structure, local signals and content gaps, then hand you a prioritized fix list.
What we check
- Crawl and index coverage
- Speed and Core Web Vitals
- On-page titles, headings and internal links
- Local signals and Google Business Profile alignment
- Content gaps on high-intent services
What you get
A written report with priorities, not a dump of tool exports. We walk through findings on a call and can quote implementation separately.
How long it takes
Most audits are scheduled after a short intake. Timing depends on site size and access—confirmed when you book.
Who SEO audits are for
Site owners who sense traffic or leads are stuck—slow pages, thin service pages, crawl errors or local pack invisibility—and want a prioritized fix list before spending on content or ads.
Problems we investigate
- Indexation and crawl issues
- Title, heading and internal-link gaps
- Core Web Vitals and mobile usability
- Local SEO mismatches with Google Business Profile
- Landing pages that waste paid traffic
What happens after the audit
You can implement in-house, hire us for a build sprint or start a retainer. Related reading: technical SEO checklist, on-page SEO checklist, and SEO services.
What we review in practice
Crawl and index coverage, template-level title patterns, thin or duplicate service pages, internal links, schema presence, mobile usability, speed opportunities and local consistency when relevant. Findings are ranked by likely impact and effort so you can sequence work.
After you have the report
Some teams fix issues in-house. Others hire us for a technical sprint or a content build. If the site architecture itself is the blocker, a redesign may be the clearer path—see website redesign.

Who should not buy an audit alone
If you already know the site needs a full redesign, spend discovery on that project instead of double-paying for overlapping findings. If you have zero analytics access and no ability to change the CMS, fix access first so recommendations can be validated.
Teams that benefit most have a working site, some traffic and a willingness to implement technical and content changes over a few sprints. Pair the audit with SEO into new builds when a rebuild is on the table.
What you need to provide for an SEO audit
To audit usefully we need the live site URL, read-only Google Search Console when available, and analytics access if you have it. Tell us your primary locations, top services, and any known issues (penalties, migrations, redesigns). Share login only when a staging or CMS review is required—and prefer least-privilege roles. If you run ads, note which landing pages matter so we can separate organic and paid problems. Without Search Console, we still crawl the site; with it, coverage and query data make priorities sharper.
